The Androscoggin River and the Kennebec River were once the life blood of Maine. Mill towns and manufacturing facilities gave birth to places like Lewiston/Auburn, Gardiner, Augusta, Rumford, Skowhegan and Waterville and provided jobs to the people of Maine.
Today many of these places are undergoing a revitalization and rebuilding of these historic old buildings which are becoming havens for new industries, restaurants, breweries and pubs, condominiums and office space.
The Belgrade Lakes Region features superb recreation opportunities for anyone that loves the water. Large chains of lakes and wide open rivers can make the sporting life a full time preoccupation.

I love visiting these areas and do occasionally represent waterfront buyers in the lower lakes of the Belgrade Lakes chain of ponds. Some of these area towns are a little bit out of my regular sales territory, however The Maine Real Estate Network has agents throughout the area, so if you are looking at this area, give me a call and I will refer the best agent to you for your areas of interest.
