If you love outdoors recreation this town is for you. Places like Kennebunk Pond, Swan Pond, Wadleighs Pond, Roberts Pond, Parker(Barker) Pond and Bunganut Pond are all located in Lyman. Part of The Massabesic Experimental Forest along Cooks Brook near Rt.5 and Jefferson Road offers a trail system with hiking and small stream trout fishing opportunities. Bunganut Lake Campground is a great local choice for a few nights with tent and trailer sites overlooking the pond and campground beach. The village of Goodwins Mill has a scenic cascading waterfall below the mill pond on Swan Pond Creek – one of my favorite picnic spots and a great place to wet a line for a few minutes on your lunch break.
Lyman is minutes to the Biddeford/Saco area and the beaches are just a short drive away.
