The Rachel Carson Preserve entrance is in Wells but extends into Kennebunk and is adjacent to the Mousam River which flows to the beautiful areas of Kennebunk Beach which has 3 areas. Gooch’s Beach – with its fine, sandy beach and gentle surf, Middle Beach – a rocky beach with some sandy areas, and Mother’s Beach – a sandy beach and playground. Parsons Beach, a private beach , is located south of there Mousam River. The Wells Reserve is also just a short drive away.
