Cornish is one of the most charming of classic New England villages you will ever visit. Large 19th and early 20th century homes line the streets along with Antique Stores, shops and restaurants like Krista’s, and Bay Haven Seafood where the seafood is very good and worth the stop. Stay at The Cornish Inn or Midway Country Lodging for a night or two while you explore the surrounding areas. The Ossipee River and Saco River merge just on the outskirts of town and either one is a good place to try a little fly fishing. The Ossipee Valley Fair takes place in neighboring South Hiram as does the Ossipee Valley Music Festival. The Cornish Apple Festival takes place in late September and both Pulsifers Orchards and Apple Acres in South Hiram has the freshest apples around.
