Sebago

Sebago is home of Sebago Lake – the largest freshwater lake in Southern Maine with it’s clean, pristine water quality which is why it also provides drinking water (via Portland Water District) to many towns in the Greater Portland area. The villages of East Sebago and North Sebago will make you think you stepped back in time. Life is a little more relaxed here by the big water!

Sebago also has the highest point in Southern Maine on top of Douglas Mountain where you can hike up to the stone fire tower and on a clear day you see all of the surrounding lakes and even to the ocean.

It’s a nature lover’s dream  with countless bodies of waters to explore. And if the woods are your thing – make sure you bring and know how to use a compass. If you catch a really big salmon or lake trout -you can always throw it back for someone else to catch- but if you keep it, don’t forget to get it weighed and get your picture taken at Jordan’s Store where the folks are always friendly and will put your polaroid up on the cash register with all the other big ones. (and we’re talking only the really big ones – lunkers- like over 25 inches or why bother)

Swim, boat, fish, hike, canoe, kayak, go boating, snowmobile, ski or snow shoe … but most of all…just relax….it’s life the way it should be!

Sebago is one of my favorite places in the world! I’d love to help you buy or sell a home on one of the many lakes here in Sebago! So give me a call. Waterfront Property is one of my special areas of focus and I am well versed in Shoreland Zoning Rules and Regulations. And did I mention that I am a Registered Maine Fishing Guide and know these lakes and ponds like the back of my hand. If you are looking at lake properties – I’m your guy!
